Emma Zakes Green is a multi-disciplinary artist and performer

currently based in Los Angeles. She is committed to craft,

explorative processes, and building community through art

on both the east and west coasts. Her work seeks to excavate

our shared human appetites - for connection, for destruction,

and for love. In any chosen medium, Emma looks for artistically

innovative ways to tell stories that are compelling, human,

and politically relevant.

Emma is the founder of The Outpost, a collaboration between artists working in theatre, design, music and film in order to create and produce original, interdisciplinary, experimental, and genre-defying work. When she's not in a theatre or recording studio, Emma works as a freelance production coordinator and storyboard artist.

Emma holds a B.A. in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College. She graduated from the CalArts MFA Acting program in 2013.

Most recent projects include shooting a music video for Lisa Frankly: a tween punk music collaboration with Paul Fraser, writing, directing and performing in The Outpost's The Dryway: a merfolk opera at the Son of Semele Company Creation Festival, directing Romeo & Juliet for LawnChair Theatre in New York, and performing in In Case of Emergency with Chalk Rep at the La Jolla Playhouse Without Walls Festival.
